Method: 



1. Received SOP and instruction manual for: 

  A. Manufacturer: OHAUS, Model #: N14120

  B. Range: 0.01g - 410g, Capacity: 410g

  C. Readability: Hundredths of a gram



2. Used SOP to perform internal calibration. 

  SOP: Metrology: OHAUS Navigator Balance

         Doc # 1.3, Rev # 2 (TW)

(On, Set up, Enter (3), Display "Cal Set")



3. Followed SOP to select unit of measure and weigh. Weigh boat itself weighed approximately 1.56g. Balance fluctuated between 1.55 to 1.56g



4. Weighed blue tube cap: 2.82g

5. Weighed 1.5 mL microfuge tube: 1.00g

6. Weighed 0.5mL microfuge tube: 0.48g

 

Moved to new balance: Analytical balance (PCC92016)



1. Observed: 

   Manufacturer: A & D Mercury, Model # ER120A

   Range: 0.01mg - 120g, Capacity 120g

   Readability: ten thousandths

 

2. Calibrated using SOP for internal calibration.

  (Cal, Display "Cal Down", adjust lever down gently, display "Cal up", raise lever gently, display "Cal end")



3. Tared balance



4. Weighed cap: 2.8131g

5. Weighed 1.5mL microfuge tube: 0.9917g

6. Weighed 0.5mL microfuge tube: 0.4794
